At Defib UK we are always looking to promote AEDs and there importance in the chain of survival. It is generally recognised that for the best results you should look at getting access to an AED within 3-minutes of someone suffering a Cardiac Arrest. If this is possible, then your chances of survival can increase greatly, from around 5% with CPR alone, to up to 75% with the use of the AED.
We have been talking with the East Anglia Daily Times this week about AEDs and how quick access can be so important. Check out more on the EADT web site: http://www.eadt.co.uk/business/suffolk-businessman-who-supplies-defibrillators-says-a-national-database-would-help-save-lives-1-5647134
